It might not be an option you have room for. Or planned for. But it’s an option.
It might be the reason you dismissed an idea you liked.
Maybe you can see something no one seems to be picking up on, and yet you don’t act.
Or because it’s the way it’s always been done, and it’s too risky to try anything else.
Failure is always an option.
I don’t want my pilot to fail, or my surgeon to make a mistake; the stakes are too high and irreversible; for the rest of us, failure might be an option.
The world of physical fitness and health is obsessed with success. Set a goal and get after it. Dare to dream. Design for success and hope you don’t fail.
It works. The fear of failure might just push us along. Hard to imagine, though, that you can handle failure when it does come.
If you are a coach and you would like to try something different, create a new service, do things differently around here, or offer a service where there is nothing quite like it, failure is an option if you design for it.
