Where’s the risk?

If you show me the upside, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to show you the downside. Where’s the risk? What’s the downside?

Any idiot can find a problem, right?

Perhaps a better question is: compared to what?

Howard Luks reminds us that training capacity in later life carries a risk of injury, soreness, maybe even the odd ache and pain. Yet narrowing our options, saying no when we used to say yes — that’s only going one way.

Injuries we can recover from. A sedentary lifestyle, not so much.
