If you are a performance coach, your title suggests that you improve performance, maybe even take it to levels previously unimagined.
We know now that what went before was, well, underperforming.
The opposite of development is underdevelopment.
Now, whatever you may think of the title “coach developer,” one thing is for sure: it implies agency in the holder.
I think we can do better, and here’s my suggestion: “practice developer.” Someone who creates the conditions for practice.
After all, being open, curious, and willing to learn takes practice.
