To understand a system, it’s not enough to know the parts; you need to understand the relationship between the parts.
Take money, for example. I’m feeling a bit flush of late; work is good, and the money is coming in. It’s immediate and present.
Then there’s the layer below it: savings. It can smooth out the lumps and bumps when things don’t go to plan. Nothing new or clever about that.
What has struck me is how quickly one’s perception of a situation can shift in the now.
Chase quantity and you may never have enough; more money, more clients.
Consider the relationship, and you might just have enough to stop chasing more.
