Why would anyone write a manifesto?

To date, I’ve written 1,157 blog posts. Seventeen of them are about the same thing. The act of writing a manifesto.

Two things keep coming up.

The first is permission. Who am I to write a coaching manifesto? Well, who are you not to? If you don’t decide the spec, who will?

The second is what’s really behind the act. Because a manifesto is rarely about the document. It’s about identity, belonging, and authority — figuring out what you stand for before anyone else decides for you.
