What are you looking for?

“Better is the enemy of the good” is an odd thing to say.

After all, better is good, right?

Only if the thing you want to get better at creates the change you seek.

Each week, grassroots coaches coach the same kids, and it’s tempting to think that if we just run a killer drill that looks so good on Instagram, everything will be ok.

Of course, it’s not.

Training looks nothing like it did on Instagram.

The kids are confused, and you are left frustrated.

So we look for better drills.

We all want sessions that make us look good, that the kids enjoy, and are easy to put on.

Better is the enemy of the good. The endless search for better drills stops you from creating a better connection with those you coach.

Drills won’t help you – you already know more than you need. Neither will 6 different types of cones. It’s all about the people.

If you want to build connections over content, then you might enjoy this.
