The easiest way to lose a coaching audience is to make something look easy.
If you make things seem simple, people will pass your content by, and you’ll hear words to this effect: “Tell me something I don’t know.” In other words, stop stating the obvious and start coming up with some new material. What follows in coaching, at least, is drill dropping.
It’s an easy trap to fall into.
Yes, the gap is not in the knowledge, but it might be in the application. Which, of course, turns out to be a knowledge gap, but you get my point.
Lower the threshold, not the ceiling.
Design accordingly.
