Using the power of football and its unparalleled reach into Scottish communities, the argument goes that football can be a delivery partner for public health, child poverty, and community outcomes.
But there’s another kind of manifesto that doesn’t get written often enough.
The one a coach writes for themselves.
Not what football needs from politicians — arguably that makes it a series of “asks”, not a manifesto. What you need from yourself. What you stand for. What you won’t compromise on. What you believe coaching is actually for.
On April 9th, I’m joined by Mike Coulter, Creative Director of the Do Lectures, for an hour on why leaders write manifestos — and what happens when they do.
